Garda Trentino has always been a favourite destination for lovers of sport holidays. In fact conditions for windsufring, sailing, free climbing and mountain biking of the highest level have always attracted Europe’s most dynamic young people to the area. On the same theme, the success of mountain biking in Trentino is substantially due to the area’s natural features ; a vast level area at an altitude of 65m by the lake surrounded by mountains rising up to 2000 m. Lovers of tough climbs and breathtaking descends.
The mountain biking phenomenon in Garda Trentino is undoubtedly connected to the "Bike Festival"- the important international event that characterises the spring season on Garda Trentino. Thousands of bike lovers meet in Alto Garda (about twenty thousand people concentrated in a four-day event) not only to "go wild" along the paths dedicated to mountain biking, but also to undertake the exhausting "Bike Marathon", a competitive race with 50, 80 and 120-kilometre routes! Garda Trentino also offers an entire series of mountain bike excursions: on Monte Brione; on the beautiful trail that leads to the small resort Campi, where until a few years ago the daring Downhill bikers could take part in the famous "Adrenalina Dangerous Downhill"; the marvellous single tracks on Monte Baldo or Monte Stivo; or the more "peaceful" excursions in the magnificent olive groves of Arco. In addition, there is Valle di Ledro (Ledro Valley), where everything is magic and beauty. The mountain bike race "Arco Bike Nature" takes place in Arco and offers enchanting and demanding routes. This race has already earned a place of honour on the vast scene of cross country races.

Would you like to approach this fantastic new sport? In the morning Pelèr is blowing: it is a north wind and it can easily reach 20/25 knots, the perfect conditions for those who have a good feeling with the board.
In the afternoon you can surf with Ora, the warmer wind from south, from 10 to 15 knots: the best way for learning and practice the sport in safe and relaxing conditions.
Equipment: In the est cost, from Bardolino to Riva there are lots of equipped schools

The lake itself offers mainly sailing and surfing, the best for it in the Northern part near Torbole and Riva. Swimming is not excellent, the lake looks wonderful but the cleanliness of the water is not. The rocks along the lake and around Arco north of it offer all the year excellent rock climbing in all degees of difficulty. And on Monte Baldo you can even ski in winter and early spring about 1800 - 2000 meters above the lake. One can almost say: Sports unlimited.

Address: At the Garda lake
it is great swimming in the lake, and all sorts of beach activities are possible! The lake is very shallow, so it is ideal for kids as well! The adults can swim a little further - that way it is not so crowded!!
