    Colorado Boat

Lovely amusing ride through water, you sit in a log-shaped canoe and get sprinkled while falling down some steep mountain side.
There is so much water splashing around you, and you expect to get wet all over, but the whole thing is so well designed just to make you feel that way + you get a few drops to enhance the experience. Very clever.

As you can see on this picture, long lines are part of Gardaland experience. We were lucky to jump into this ride without waiting so long - it was early morning on our second day.

    Flying Island

by KristaB Written Apr 8, 2004

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

First thing we did was to jump on this Flying thing to have a good look over whole Gardaland. Just to get the feeling where things are and how big it is. Slow rising up to 50 meters with slow rotation. Very unadventurous, the whole thing is wide, has benches for sitting away from the edge and high fence. But still might be unsuitable for people with vertigo problem.

    Verona

Verona is only a one hour drive away from Lazise and one should not miss it! There is not only the breathtaking arena to be visited, but also many interesting churches, museums or shopping facilities...

You can easily reach it by car, bus or train from anywhere at Lake Garda!

For more information, please feel free to have a look at my Verona page!

    Cisano

    by tini58de Updated Sep 14, 2003

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

It is lovely to walk along the seaside of Lake Garda, partly on the beach, partly along the villages - great atmosphere!

Cisano is part of the community of Bardolino, but appears to be a village of its own.

    Walk up Manerba rock

by nighthawk Written Sep 10, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

One nice thing to do is walking up the Manerba rock where you can find remains of an old castle.

As the legend tells, here is where the goddes Minerva once had her temple.
Later on a great castle was built here thus having control over this part of the Garda Lake.

Nowadays there s only some remains but one can have a great view over the lake sitting on top of the rock, just below the cross.
Don t go there if you got fear of heights tho! I had a tough time up there with my 7 year old who just danced on the edges of the cliff....

    Boat Trip

by davesut Written Jun 27, 2008

A boat trip round the lake is an absolute must. The places on the eastern side that I thought looked best were Bardolino and Garda. Both have a nice front area and areas to promenade along.

    The Lost City of Atlantis

by aramat Written Jun 3, 2006

The Lost City of Atlantis is a very beautiful ride - the details of the design are spectacular (and you may get soaked as well as - just as you should on a proper splash ride :-))

    water streets

Like in Venice, some streets are mmade as water streets, and you can move around only in the boat! Castle of Sirmione is FULL of such streets, but you can find them elsewhere as well.

In Sirmione there is a very beautiful park named after the famous Greek diva Maria Callas, who used to spend a lot of time here. Take a walk through the park, it's very pleasant.

    The Swing

    by kcochran111 Written May 28, 2003

Too bad this ride is so short, because it's a thrill, especially when they stop it and you feel like you're going to kiss the ground.
