Disclaimer: We only discovered wine bars recently in Italy and we are fascinated by the concept - from 6 to 9pm (i.e. happy hour), if you order a drink (that's marked up slightly), you get to eat for free! Wish we have that in Toronto.
Bhangrabar is an Indian wine bar located near Piazza Sempione with mostly outdoor seating. They have a pretty large drink menu, including a selection of Indian liquor based cocktails. They also have non-alcoholic beverages for those who doesn't drink. We tried 3 of the cocktails - the Sweet Mango, Sour Rose, and Colonial Cardamom. Those cocktails were quite tasty and strong! We enjoyed the finger foods: a mixture of pasta, naan, samosas, Spanish paella (?), and a really fragrant rice dish (can't remember the name).
We arrived at around 7pm and the bar was still pretty empty at that time, but within 30 minutes, the whole place was hopping. The food was replenished frequently and we tried everything offered first, then went back for a second round. While there seemed to be a few tourists, I think 80% of the patrons were locals, just hanging out after work. (BTW, it was a Tuesday night.) As a reference, the alcoholic drinks were 7 euros each and non-alcoholic drinks were 5 or 6 euros, I think.
If you are interested in a light dinner, good ambience, nice drinks, and a relaxing place to catch up with your friends, you should check out this place out.
Favorite Dish:
The drinks, of course!
A very nice bar in Indian style close to Parco Sempione: in this place you will be surrounded by the fragrance of spices and the soft hues of India, you would be able to relax in the special areas furnished only by low wooden tables and vibrant scatter cushions.
The staff there is International and friendly and the drinks are good and poor in calories!
Favorite Dish:
I like the fried zucchine there and the rice
Food menu includes both Indian/ethnic and Italian dishes
Cocktails have an Indian influence, try the "Ginger Julep"
