    Kapuziner Platz: Wilkommen!

    Perfect combination

This place is a stone's throw from Porta Romana, nicely located in a quiet tree-lined boulevard. The interior is very large, I would imagine that it sits over 100 people. The noise is consequent, but the atmosphere is quite German indeed, so I didn't mind.

The service was relatively fast and very polite, and we gave them a hard time being a company of 10 that ordered around 30 beers throughout the whole evening :o)

The food is as typically German as it gets south of the Alps. The selection of cold starters is ok, but the real stuff here is meat. Both the collection of sausages and the mixed grill were cracking, served with garnish of chips, salad and kraut.

The beer selection was fairly small but correct for this sort of place. The lighter pilsners made a good start, while the stronger bocks and lagers went perfectly with the meat. The labels that were offer cannot be found so easily in Italy, and not even in Germany. Kudos to the manager for this one.

The place is very crowded at weekends, so book in advance or be prepared to wait. It is excellent for large groups as they have plenty of long tables. They have another joint at Castelseprio, not far from the Malpensa airport, but I haven't been there.

Prices were very correct, I dare say almost low. I'll go back!

Favorite Dish: Favourite dish? the sausages, grilled meat and of course their marvellous beer.

    Kapuziner: German food & atmosphere

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    The entrance

The restaurant is something perceived like a German one ... but since I was there with a german lady I know this is not the case at all.
This is more a Bavarian style and even for this it's a little bit overestimated ... nevertheless: it's funny, overcrowded, and it serves gooooooooooooooood foooooooooooooooood !!!!!
    What's more for a restaurant ???????

Favorite Dish: Actually it's beer & gegrillte wurstel !!!!!!!!!

Be sure to book in advance ---- it's always crowded !!!!!!!
