Pizzeria Tradizionale, Milan

This restaurant serves more than just pizza, although it is called pizzeria. You can taste really delicious traditional pizzas here which are prepared in wood fire. Besides varous pizza, you can find pasta and fish specialties. The decoration is nice and creates a nice ambiance. Service is friendly and quick. This is not a cheap pizzeria. You don't spend a fortune, but quite good money for a meal.

This extremely popular place is a pleasure to eat in, although the summer terrace is much more pleasant than the noisy interior, where you'll most probably find yourself too near to other customers.

As I'm not a big fan of pizza, I opted for the fish. The whitefish carpaccio was pleasant and fresh, and it was nice to get a bottle of good olive oil to give it more flavour. The pasta I had was very special, a dish of tagliatelle with clams, squids and zucchini. Very tasty but it came to the table a bit too late (it was not hot anymore).

The wine list is of good size, with an appropriate emphasis on whites from north-eastern and southern Italy.

Coffee was ok and the herb liquor I had was mistakenly served with ice. They changed it without complaint - good note for the friendly and efficient service!

Prices are average, wine bottles being on the cheap side compared to other places. Book in advance as the place is overly popular with locals and tourists alike.

Favorite Dish: The carpaccio was really excellent and very fresh, the service extremely friendly

There are several great restaurants in Milano but one cute place is PIZZERIA TRADIZIONALE at Porta Ticinese (Via de Amicis)
The food is excellent and the service as well (good average prices)
