The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, built between 1865 and 1878, is a covered arcade just next to the cathedral. It has an arching glass and steel roof, and contains numerous shops and caffes.

In reality it's a covered street. The gallery has a Latin cross plant, and connects the Piazza Duomo with Piazza della Scala. Inside the Gallery you'll find many shops and cafes.
Next to the Duomo is this really cool Galleria (like a mall). There were shops and resturants and it was so decorative. Not like the malls we have in America!!
