The souvenir shops in this arcade are too expensive compared to others in the city. Restaurants are also expensive, but for the crowd and the location they deserve that. If you came to Milan for shopping, definitely this is the place for sightseeing rather than shopping.
Unique Suggestions: Try to look around and compare the prices. You will find better deals around the city.
Fun Alternatives: If you just walk a little bit from Duomo squara, you will find many shops with better prices.

In the past this was the meeting point of Milan, now you can do shopping or have a lunch, but it's only a place where people pass through and there is always confusion.
Unique Suggestions: Look on the top, the architecture is wonderful. And read the sign on the walls of every entrance, there are names of the city who help to build this place.

Yes, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is a wonderful & beautieful place to be - but it`s not only the prices at Louis Vuitton & Prada that are sky-high...
Unique Suggestions: You MIGHT want to think twice before you drink a Coke (out of a CAN!!!) for 8 Euro there...or make at least sure you know the price before you invite people in Milan!!! (I invited my friend and had to pay 16 Euro for 2 Cans of Cola!!!)
Fun Alternatives: Buy your Drinks in a Supermarket and sit at the beautieful fountain outside, watch the people & enjoy the sun!

Galleria Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Familiarly called 'La Galleria' by Milan inhabitants, it's a very characteristic place to see, situated in the center of Milan, near to the Duomo. But avoid at all costs the bar and restaurants in there. They're very expensive!!!. An espresso there may cost about 3 euros (the minimum price in Milan is 80 cents). There are more cheaper and tasty espresso in other bars.

Buying objects from the shops in the Galleria as well as eating at the Galleria means that you are spending too much money on something. Prices tend to skyrocket in the Galleria for some reason.
