What to buy:
Picture of the budino 'Creme Caramel' that we bought in the local shopping mall, only the product we bought came in a small plastic container that looked just a little bit different from the one in this picture. In my opinion, the Italian 'budino' is more or less identical to the Spanish and French sweet dessert that goes by the name of 'flan'.
For a town of such modest proportions (population 10,000), Salò has a remarkably large shopping mall. It can be found just outside the town center at a roundabout along the road to Portese and Desenzano.
It s a bit like crowd surfing because of all the people that tend to come to these markets, but it is fun to strawl by and browse through all the things you can buy.
I always try to spot the 'locals', like these two nuns.
What to buy: There s hawkers that wanna sell you so called Louis Vuitton bags, sun glasses, and all kinds of other stuff.
Be sure to negotiate! and don t be afraid to walk away if they insist on too high a price, most of the times they will call you back.
What to pay: Depends on how well you negotiate :-D.
