castle moat

There is a moat around the castle making it difficult to access to get a good picture. Infact the castle seems to join the peninsula together here as it straddles the land between the ferry harbour and the beach and small boat harbour. The castles defensive position was excellent because people could be spotted coming from the lake long before they arrived.
