Finest artistic paper products in Fabriano

Well, I have already mentioned this several times – Fabriano is THE place to buy finest paper and paper art. The best selection is definitely the one in Museo della Carta. I could have bought everything… But I liked these little booklets in my main photo most: the left one has a size of 5x4 cm (and 2 cm thick) and is a model of a book with leather cover, a little string to “close” the book and a magnificent decoration on the cover: letters, made with the technique of old book lettering. But they also have bookmarks (photo 3), and little books (photo 2, 10x14 cm, each with a different kind of paper inside), albums, writing sets and much more.While I am writing this, it seems that the paper museum is updating their website (1 week ago it had a different design and less English descriptions). We Shopped the Markets....: Plenty of Market Days in Le Marche

The first markets we experienced in Le Marche was in Ascoli Piceno.The Vegetable market is held in the large cloister of the church of San Francis every morning and has vegetables and plants. The Antique market is held in the main squares and the historical streets, every third weekend of the month. It was fun to peruse these markets.The largest markets we found were in Urbania on a misty Saturday morning while the Truffle and Ceramic Festival was also in progress.By accident, Allan and I walked into the Ducal Palace courtyard where lots of acitivity was being carried out. I was snapping away at the tables of mushrooms and truffles and some ceramics when an older lady started smiling and talking at the same time. I could not understand what she was saying.
