When you are out of Ancona, may be visiting small villages, you can have hard time finding a bus to go back.Public transports are not so frequent in this area, so make sure to have the bus or train timetable with you, infact unfortunatly people are not used to use busses or trains as they prefer car, so they are not so helpful in this kind of information. Take a number of a taxi or of a friend you can contact with you, some towns are so somall to not have a taxi service.
Cattolica, Gabicce & Co.All the tourist traps, it seems, are situated along the coast. They are called Cattolica and Gabicce for example, but they have other names too. As a rule of thumb: if they are advertised, tourist traps they are. Dirty and crowded beaches, sun-umbrellas everywhere... and discos: as many as the sun umbrellas, and just as sad-looking. Such places, I believe, are actually good party places if you're looking for partying and flirting (or more)- like Ibiza's uglier sisters. If you want to go to the seaside to swim, however, they are not worth your pennies and you might as well go elsewhere less crowded.Photo: a night scene in Recanati
