I came to meran as I wanted to do some shopping. Arriving from the bus station I entered the town center by a narrow street overlooked by a gate. In the first shop on the left that was some "crafts and do it yourself " thing , but they were closing in 10 minutes as it was 11:50h. Beware ! The Shops in Meran have a 3 hours lunch break - so from 12 to 15h you can only go 4 a coffee.....Or a Gelatto...the restaurants start serving food first from 17 or 18h - keep this in mind too.
