Il battello ebbro: Wonderful location but nothing else

by BurgerQueen Written Aug 27, 2014

We stopped at the "Battello Ebbro" restaurant because of its wonderful location on a terrace in between the castle tower and the lighthouse. As usual we preferred to have dinner in the street, being warm and in a pedestrian area. The menu is quite comfusing: different dishes from different area of the Mediterranean Sea (some Greek, some North African, some Italian) and Italy in general (some dessert from Turin to give you an example). It looks like the restaurant dose not have its own identity.
The dishes we ordered were quite disappointing, the staff looked lazy, we had to call them several times to be served, and even to pay!!

Il mosto selvatico: Meat restaurant at the seaside :-)

by BurgerQueen Written Aug 25, 2014

We ate at "Il mosto selvatico" while looking for a non-fish restaurant. I have an allergy to shelfishes and mussels and I generally feel sick everytime I eat fish.. This restaurant was actually advised by another restaurant as the best meat restaurant in town.
We had cavatelli (a type of pasta) with fresh tomatoes and caciocavallo (a local type of cheese) and meat (tagliata with parmesan and tomatoes and straccietti coocked with balsamic vinegar, parmesan and salad).
All the food was good, but nothing so special to make us willing to ho back.
They also have a wide range of wines, which we did not try.
The location is well kept, you can eat inside or in the street, as we did.
We had the impression they are not very keen om children, it looked like our doughters were a burden.
    More expensive than average.

    Guiness Beer Pub: Beer pub

by satara Written Dec 19, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

It looked like a nice white house with some grapewine growing outside the walls.. but that's a look only at day time.

At night this place was full of young people - on the first floor, on the second floor, on the balcony and all seemed to enjoy their time there very much;)

Situated in the square near the cathedral, this gelateria receives many hot-customers who wish for some cold drink or ice cream. There is some food there available as well.

Favorite Dish: The interior design of this gelateria tells the story of famous Italian comic writer..

taste a good wine in this enoteca. Genesio Genua, the owner, has too a good self-made snack for you in the evening.

Wonderful place in the old town of Termoli.
