Enoteca ' Piali Pascià' in the old town: taste a good wine
tedesco58 Says: taste a good wine in this enoteca. Genesio Genua, the owner, has too a good self-made snack for you in the evening.Wonderful place in the old town of Termoli.
satara Says: It looked like a nice white house with some grapewine growing outside the walls.. but that's a look only at day time.At night this place was full of young people - on the first floor, on the second floor, on the balcony and all seemed to enjoy their time there very much;)

The term of nightlife in Termoli has quite an interesting aspect - when it gets dark, people come out of their homes and make a big get-together in the middle of the streets.. old and young...! and if car drivers want to go through the street - it's their own problem:)

As usual in Italy the driving is really crazy in Termoli, the problems with parking, high traffic... eh... The best way to get around is by little motorcycle, because in a car you stay stucked in a traffic for long time..
There is some public transportation (buses) available as well. In some places of city there is a yellow terminal where it's said you can call for the bus there and wait until it comes and takes you where you want to go... haven't seen that terminal working though...:)

There are lots of various shops in the city, many of them selling the famous brand names, but if you are looking for the hand-made crafts better search for them in little souvenir shops like "Il Faro" in the old town near the castle of Termoli.
What to buy: Lots of interesting collars made of stones, seashells...

satara Says: I haven't seen anything like this in any other country (except Greece) - on the walls of houses Italians put a poster saying about the death of their beloved people.. So everyone in the neighbourhood knows what happened and can express their condolences to the family.
satara Says: Imagine - we are in a hurry going home for lunch (for those who don't know, in Italy food is a religion and you can't be late for eating!), lots of traffic in the streets and suddenly we stop in front of little shop selling lotto tickets..!!! ah... we can't miss lotto even...
satara Says: I have seen that only in the movies.. But it's true - they put their laundry down in the street, so tourists must be careful not to stumble over them;)
satara Says: I happened to be in Termoli on 3-5 of August, 2003 when some really great festivities of its Saint Basso were taking a place there. It appears that San Basso is a care-taker of all sailors and the region of Termoli and according the story, San Basso has died in the sea. So...

satara Says: The smell of freshly caught fish, the sound of crying seagulls..I liked to come there to watch the boats, the people preparing to leave the coast, returning from fishing, waiting to buy various "frutti di mare".
satara Says: Look what a little but lovely house window I have found in the old town!! Actually I am not very impressed by Italian windows, they keep them always closed.. I loved the Greek windows much more, but this little one was cute enough to dedicate for it a whole photo..:)
