Only 15 kilometers form Grosseto, and stands out off the autostrada by sitting at the peak of a small hill. The village is a simple example of everyday living in the village by peaceful residents. In the old days, the towers were good defenses. The tower Belvedere is one of those towers, but is private so cannot enter. Another tower is overgrown with weeds. The village is called falco of Maremma-or falcon castle. They also have a small museum we did not go into, and church Niccolo that is very plain in structure.
