the nightlife in florence is really fun. the only thing you have to watch out for is the cover charge. as you can see from my map i want to go to more places then ive been so im not sure how it works in other places but in florence you are given a ticket stub upon entrance. the stub costs anywhere from 5 to 10 euros. when you leave the nightclub you have to show the stub. if you lose the stub you may have to pay. i had some friends of mine lose their stubs and they had to pay about 30 euro to leave. like i said im not sure if this is regular or not but be aware when you enter nightclubs. they like to get as much money from unsuspecting tourists as possible.
unless you really like getting harassed by a whole bunch of men dont wear anything TOO scandalous. you can wear whatever you like just be prepared to get harassed a bit by the men. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubDirections: Central Florence

If you go out in Italy for a night out, it is pretty much like the rest of Europe, relaxed, fun enviroment and cheap drinks(depends where you go). After just having a nice meal, we decided to make a night of it and headed to the fair, a permanant theme park with a large club/bar. Once I entered I did not expect to see what I did, 90% of the people there were wearing white tops, jeans and sunglasses! All this at night? Surely not? Yes they were wearing sunglasses at night in a dark club, look cool? If you were in a movie maybe, but on a night out it just looks like some freakish clone get together, needless to say I did feel out of place, but that didn't stop us from getting drunk and having a laugh at others expense. You are sure to have an entertaining night out, I know I did.
Not a set dress code, unless stated on the door, but I think sunglasses are a must if you wish to fit in. Leave a Comment Theme: People WatchingAddress: Most places

This is the practice of walking around at night in your finest clothes admiring and being admired. It is commonplace in Italy to walk around the centre of town in the evening, maybe having a coffee, icecream or glass of wine. Whole families do this and the local shops all stay open late as well - often after 10pm. This takes advantage of the cooler evenings as usually from 1-5pm most shops close and people retreat to their houses to escape the heat. Even when it isn't hot, passagiato is still practiced.
Dress smartly, everyone else will be. Theme: People Watching
