This is its main square: Piazza Mazzini. On the third Saturday of each month, except August, it's held a very nice market called 'Il Paniere'. Handicraft, organic clothes and wholesome food are sold.

One great place to visit while in Rome is the Tivoli Gardens at Villa D'Este. Just a short ride from the city. You can do this on an organized tour, or on your own.
