 Aurorae Says:  At first glance nobody would pick this café restaurant, but it's very very nice actually! It's at the big parking of Orta San Giulio (only residents are allowed to go with cars inside the town, others must park before), it doesn't even have a name, it's written "SNACK BAR"... 

 Aurorae Says:  This is a WONDERFUL restaurant near the camping site after Orta San Giulio. It's on the lakeside with amazing view and very romantic atmosphere, with candelabre and sunset... Menu is delicious, one of the best dishes I've ever had in Italian cuisine. Try tagliatelle con... 

 Aurorae Says:  One of the best viewpoints at Sacro Monte is near the church. There is a plateau with benches overlooking the lake and Isola San Giulio. It's better to be there in the morning, because in the afternoon the shadows are bad as the sun is on the opposite side and the island and... 

 Aurorae Says:  The church at Sacro Monte of Orta San Giulio is at the panoramic point, at the end of the monastery complex. There are regular services. Beside there is a souvenir shop and public toilettes, which I've never seen in a church! But since it's a bit far away from the town, the... 

 Aurorae Says:  At Sacro Monte resort complex you'll find lots of very old religious buildings scatterred around. All of them are painted with frescoes inside, and many contain sculptures and figures in different biblical scenes. 

 Aurorae Says:  These wooden sticks, parts of the pier have another application apart from being a place to tie the boats up to the shore. They are a landing spot for sea gulls, who adore to stand on the top of them! Pity I didn't catch any on act! 

 Aurorae Says:  There is not a lot of space for the beach, the water arrives to the walls very fast! But you can sit on the walls or stretch on the grass behind it just as well, if you don't want to stay at the place where the beach is broad or use the concrete one. 

 Aurorae Says:  The streets of Orta San Giulio are very narrow and tight, and very cheerfully coloured in bright colours like pink, red, orange, beige and yellow. Many houses would be decorated with flowers, which adds to the lively ambience. 

 Aurorae Says:  Most of the shore is private (lucky them!!!) All houses on the lakeside have their own access to the lake and it's forbidden to trespass. It was painful to watch them sitting in their beach beds comfortably, in their gardens, or on the shore, on their own private property!... 

 Aurorae Says:  If you're arriving to the lake from the roads at the hills above you'll have a fantastic panoramic view. Here you can see the road you'll take and the beach beside where you'll arrive once you go down.
