The city hall stands in a street parallel to the one on the spine of the hill (sorry, I have not written down the name), a little lower. It is a three levels building with an ornemental front. As the street is narrow, it is difficult to have the whole of it on one photo (photos 1 and 2).Sorry, my tip was too long and I had to cut it into two...more

Its traditional representation is of a woman with her...more

We dined here during trufffle season in October. The food was adequate, though not exceptional. Our real objection was that although we alerted the kitchen about a potentially fatal nut allergy, the kitchen served food which contained nuts. When we gently complained about this, the owner threw us out of the restaurant, calling us rude four letter...more
We have not been to Restorante La Contea as it was too early and we had planned to go to La Gibigianna in Barbaresco and made a reservation (see my Barbaresco page under Castagnole Lanze. The menu seems to be excellent but expensive. This is the only place where they have the true traditional bagna caudà. May be we will try it another time !more

I took this photo because I found that the design of the Bottega del vino di Neive (Wine shop of Neive) was very elegant with the double loop that linked the vine grape to the glass of wine and with a reminder of the crenellated city wall ! Enlarge to better appreciate !
We have not been to the shop but owing to the quality of the wines of the Langhe, you should not be deceived if you go and buy a few bottles !
What to buy: You guess !
I have a crush not only for chimneys but also for school road signs. In Neive, I did not shoot any chimneys, then I had to shoot a school warning ! It is the most recent Italian road sign of the type and I have been unable to find any of the older ones. Nevertheless, I like it ! The children seem both to be happy to run to school !
