    Palms and snow

by Manara Updated Sep 23, 2011

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: One of the fascinating things about this lake is its climate, which is very mild for an area that is at the foot of the Alps. Due to this fact, it is possible to enjoy the view of the Alps with their snow caps while basking in the sun amid palm trees.

    Stresa - inside the town

by croisbeauty Updated Jul 30, 2005

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Stresa, inside the place

Favorite thing: Well, I was a little bit disapointed with the look of the townlet, which is just ordinary like many other small places with no importance. Except for the small protected medieval harbour, there is nothing else in Stresa worth of note.

    Stresa - beach resorts

by croisbeauty Updated Jul 28, 2005

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Stresa beach resort

Favorite thing: Well, I am not the one who might be interesting in lake bathing because, as far as I am concerning, the lake-water is too cold even in the summer time. Besides, since I am coming from the sea-side resort, I have certain predjudice regarding bathing in non-salt water.
The beach resort around Stresa looks pretty much cool, and many people seems like enjoying it very much.
