Nightclubs and bars in Torino

Romantic restaurant with sight on the Po, situated to the Valentino, of forehead to the Medioevale Village, here where in past the seaplane landed that the Turin-Trieste line served. Refined kitchen that it proposes delicate elaborations of plates of the various regional traditions.
Some days of the week, after supper, in it knows it beside the restaurant, evenings with DJ.

Dress Code: We had casual clothes but the Italians wore amazingly beautiful clothes. Many came to talk to us "tourists"=)

Other than lively bars, cafes and pubs, it's quite common to see groups of people stationing by street corners, parking lots or other public places. They're just having a good time regardless of the place. The city center porticoes provide shelter from bad weather and these are favorite spots. We love talking and certain joints are too loud for conversations! Certainly not specific to Italians, in most cases people enjoy socializing with others at improvised or consolidated meeting points, chat and have a few laughs. This can go on endlessly and any eventual decision on what to do or where to go next could linger for hours or even never happen unless dictated by thirst. Another typical situation can be meeting at someone's house prior to move somewhere else as a group. By experience, in most cases it turns out to become an uncalled party. Someone starts popping a bottle of wine, others play music, new friends are introduced and born-entertainers do their job as the clock goes.

I see a certain positiveness in not being in need of doing something specific but rather share time, opinions and laughter with friends and acquaintances. Some foreigners find it difficult to understand. Don't get bored if this happens to you but try to get in the mood!

For reference, also read the Quadrilatero tip in my "Restaurants" section. Reason for this tip also being here is that, for a large number of Turinese, nightlife equals eating and drinking till morning hours.

The so-called "Quadrilatero Romano" area is adjacent to nicknamed Porta Palazzo, which is the main historical street market in town in Piazza della Repubblica. The "Quadrilatero" develops south of here up to Via Garibaldi. A few years ago this pedestrian area was brought to a new life and today it's probably the trendiest in town. Cafes and restaurants are sometimes next to each other and range from local typical cuisine to ethnic specialties. Famous for their "Aperitivo" and dinner events, most businesses teem afterwards with patrons who enjoy company and music well beyond 2 AM even in cold months. There are more al-fresco tables in warmer times, but the Quadrilatero is a great place to be and choose a place "at sight". Wine bars, cocktail bars, local and ethnic stuff won't leave you unimpressed.

Ok. Now you are in Torino. You have seen all this beautiful baroque stuff and the royal palaces, and the old town, and you have also eaten enough in our tasty restaurants.
Now you want to feed up you with some cultural event. Maybe a museum or better a concert or a exhibition, or a special show, or something more.

In this city you will find what you are searching for, because thjere are a lots of different places to go.

If you prefer, you can go to the 'Basilica Superga' by night, so you will see all the town from the hill.

People in Turin Are very well dressed!

I did not go out much when I was in Turin but I can suggest a few locales to add a bit of spark to your nightlife. A nice trendy place to go for a drink is the 'elite' Lutece in the center of town. I do not remember the address. I think you can grab a bite to eat there as well. Also, in the warmer months you can take a walk along the Po in what they call Murazzi (via Murazzi su Po) There are a lot of little locales that you can stop in. I recall a dance place called Jammin' that was a bit of a wait to get into but fun and interesting to watch people. Also, go just across the street where there a few American-type bars where you can go and enjoy a brew. It is rare to find drunk, out of control people at the bars like you find in America so please do not get out of hand. :) If you like crowds there is the Shamrock Inn near Porta Nuova which is the main train station. Every time I drove by this place in the last few months there were scads of people out by the entrance. There are many pubs in this area but as in any city keep your eyes open for pick-pocketers when near the station. Some discotheques are Vaniglia, Pick Up, Hennesy (great for the summer months), and Big. You must have a car to go to some of these latter places because they are not near the center of Turin. If you are in Turin in the summer you can check out Cacao which is in the Valentine Park and not so far from the center. There is also a trendy zone where everyone is going now but I can't quite remember exactly where the area is. I believe it is near Piazza della Repubblica between via Garibaldi and Corso Regina Margherita. In this area there are lots of little places to stop and have a drink. The city of Turin has made a tremendous effort to clean up this area and I must say they are doing an excellent job. It is best to get to know young local people to find out the best places to go because they can change from one year to another.

This place was huge - possibly one of the biggest clubs I've ever been to! It cost 10 euros at the door, and that gets you a drink token.
This is an outdoor club, in a...sort of valley. It was really neat. A nice big dance floor, and lots of techno and house music.

Dress Code: No sneakers.
