Zonk! is located in the Quadrilatero Romano, just off Via Milano. Some Wednesdays it features a themed apertivo, where you pay EUR 10 and receive a cocktail, access to the regular aperitivo buffet and a small meal. Recent themes have been DOC cheeses (taster plate of cheese, gnocchi in cheese sauce and tiramisu) and macrobiotic cuisine (seaweed salad, whole-wheat pasta with tempeh ragu and marinated seitan). One of the best aperitivos in the city, and definitely the most bang for your buck on Wednesday! Other nights the normal aperitivo buffet is EUR 6.
It starts to get busy around eight, if you go much later you will have to wait for a table. When they clear away the food, a DJ comes out and spins records to keep you entertained during cocktail-sipping. Open very late.
