There is a little ferry that leaves from the waterfront near the base of the pedestrian street and goes across the water - Pigonati Channel. Across the water are good views of Castello svevo - The Swabian Castle built in 1227 - and the Italian Sailor's Monument - built in 1933 and standing 54 meters tall aka "The Big Rudder". Cost is 18 euro cents - 0.18 euro.
The side across from central brindisi also has the very long sea wall that goes out into the ocean. I didn't walk it but did see people walking it while my ferry was docking. Walking along the seawall - Porticciolo turistico - would have been a nice thing to do but I didn't know how far away it was from the monument and park on that side.
Also on this side is the S. Maria del Casale - a 13th century convent church. Be sure to pick up a map of brindisi from the tourist info center located on the central brindisi waterfront side near the Roman Columns.

Brindisi - Ferry port to Greece

This is a very good place to get the ferry to Greece. I do not have any pictures anymore of this area but I do have many fond memories traveling with my NATO friends.
