The Gargano coast

Splendid it is the vision of the Gargano's coast that, steep and for most accessible only in boat, is raised stiff on the crystalline water. Bordered of stacks, rich of immense cavities it is inexhaustible source of wonderful natural scenes, insenature, beaches and small cale.
The more evocative show is offered to the infinite and beautifulst grotto eroded in the course of the millenia from the wind and the frequent breakers.

A little restaurant whit a funny name."'Alt! qui...pane e pomodoro!"..It has a wonderful view in front of the sea and it's really not expensive. You can eat homemade dishes...but the best is toast bread with little red tomato and black olive...I dont' know the right address but you can find it on the street Vieste - Mattinata , just 3 km before to arrive.

Favorite Dish: Pane e pomodoro of course...and also 'pepata di cozze'.

Vieste and the other centers of the Gargano Promontory can be easily reached: by car, through the highways going from Naples to Canosa and from Rimini to Bari; by railways, tanks to special fast and express trains through the lines Roma-Foggia-Bari and Milano-Bari-Lecce. Vieste, Rodi Garganico, Pugnochiuso are connected by sea to the Tremiti islands In summer, by a shipping line which starts from Manfredonia.

The beautiful Gulf of Mattinata
Mattinata, with its roofs of a dazzling whiteness in the green of olive and almond trees, whose name - Bacchelli recalls - is linked to the rising hour of the day. Here the charm of the landscape cannot be expressed indeed by words.

San Domino

San Domino, Foggia
