Many people think that the eastern spot of Italy is in Friuli Venezia Giulia, but they are wrong.The eastern spot of Italy is in Puglia and it's called Capo d'Otranto (cape of Otranto).It's a secluded place, just a lighthouse by the sea in the rocky coast of Salento, after the beautiful town of Otranto.The atmosphere is great, it seems to be at the end of something (end of the world?end of the travel? end of Italy?)...there is only the voice of the waves and the sea is deep blue.In the sunny and windy days, when the air is clear, you can see also the other coast of Adriatic (Montenegro and Albania).
