okay just to let you know, you should talk more about just the attracktions because when people like myself are doing projects for class and we need notes about attracktions then we should be able to find it in the comments about that place because we really need something good instead of just notes or comments about like a long time ago because its not cool.
Taranto is a easy reachble town with all means of transport, founded in VII century b.c. The old town keeps an island connected to the modern city by a bridge. The 'Museo nazionale'evokes to the Magna Grecia's history; it holds sculptures, architectonic frames objects coming from tombs, and wonderful ceramics. Is possible to admire vases in Corinthian and Apulo style; the gold rooms holds wonderful jewels found in tombs coming from the whole region(ellenistic style).
PALAZZO CARDUCCI ARTENISIO merits to be remembered for several reasons. In the picture it is given preminence to the entrance which is in the inside court, enriched by a iron cantilever roof of exquisite drawing Liberty. But the palace, which has a surface of about 900 square metres, was built in the middle of the XVII century by Ludovico Carducci-Artenisio. For three centuries and a half it has belonged to the family and now it goes on being the home of the descendants. Numerous were also the modifications of the building. The front of today was made again in the eighteenth century .In the end of the last century also the access to the noble plan was transformed in liberty style. All over the place there are signs of the history of Carducci-Artenisio,who gave 14 mayors to Taranto. It is a Florentine family of whom we find traces since 1800. In Toscana many of theirs members were Gonfalonieri and Priori, but when the Medicis arrived, The Carduccis had to go into exile and one of the branches of their family settled in Taranto. Besides a collection of pictures of '6OO, '7OO,and '8OO,and a library of more than 6000 volumes, palace Carducci-Artenisio contains a hall of delegation of great beauty, decorated with lockets with the grotesque of the Fracanzano.
Very old history can be also found in the surroundings of Taranto. Leporano, Pulsano and especially Manduria are witnesses to ancient civilisations, evident in the amount of archaeological findings, created before Rome's glory. Vineyards, both centuries ago and today, represent a flowering of proud and hard work
