Go Sledding

Go Sledding, Roccaraso

yooperprof Says:  Even if you don't want to ski, you could have a good time in Roccaraso sledding. This hill has judge the right slope - enough to gain momemtum, but not so much that you'll lose control.

The modern train station

The modern train station, Roccaraso

yooperprof Says:  Trains leave Roccaraso to the south - down through Castel di Sangro to Naples - and the north, up to Sulmona. The train station is modern but very simple; there is a waiting room, but very few conveniences.

Derby: Ski-wear and winter clothes, Roccaraso

yooperprof Says:  I didn't bring a winter hat with me from Naples - didn't think I would need it! WRONG! Fortunately, I found one of those nice knitted Scandinavian ski caps at this little boutique.
