This is the largest supermarket in Alghero for provisions such as drinks and snacks as well as batteries toielteries sunscreen..... I'd say larger than the Iperstandia and some way larger than 15 Sisa stores.
What to buy: What you need for the hotel room or the beach
What to pay: supermarket prices

The exclusive red coral that is found just off the coast in this area of Sardinia seems to be sold in almost every shop in Alghero!
What to buy: Made into all manner of jewellery & hanging in huge bundles from grand displays – it looks impressive but it comes at a price!!
What to pay: From what I could see, there wasn’t much that could be bought that was below double figures – mostly set in gold so expect to pay loads!!

What to buy: Alghero is famous for its red coral jewelry, you cannot miss it when you are in the old town. Please shop around, prices vary quite a bit from shops to shops. Don't leave all the shopping on your last day either, just in case they siesta! :P
Turquoise jewelry is worth looking at too! These are cheaper compare to red coral ones. Look out for Sardinian Crystal, you might not want to take them home but it's quite different. They kinda melt metal, colourings into their crystal and these come in all shapes and sizes.
As you know Alghero is not a very touristy place, you won't find mornal junk around the place. Forget rubbish souvenir and get postcards instead!
