the airport is at Fertilia approx 5/6 km from Alghero.
There isn't a train service into town,and although the local no 9 bus does go into town in only runs every two hours.

Service is not the fastest so if you are in a hurry to leave, make sure you ask for the bill well in advance. Be aware that most, if not all of the garages close for a couple of hours in the afternoon, and have only a automatic pump available which takes notes only. This can be very awkward if like us you've got to fill up your hire car before returning it. Leave a Comment
