    At first I was a little reluctant to go to this Café, because it looked like the typical tourist trap café, but it turned out to become our very favourite cappucchino place in Cagliari (and believe me, we tried many places!!). The staff was friendly and the cappucchino soooooooo delicious!!!

    When on the last day of our stay I asked the "espresso man" if I could take a picture of him, he was a little puzzled.... I told him that I thought he made the best cappucchino in Cagliari - and he just grinned and mumbled: "in all Sardegna...."

    And he probably is right!!!

    This informal restaurant in the heart of Marina district serves the probably best and huge pizzas in Cagliari. Honest prices and friendly and fast service are a 'plus' in choosing this place for convivial dinners. Menu suggestions include also several kinds of grilled beefsteaks, hamburgers, sausages, all served with salads and potatoes. Don't forget a traditional sardinian beer to accompany your meal :)
    Very crowded during weekends!

    Pizza Barbaricina (name comes from Barbagia, the real heart of Sardinia Island): tomatoes, mozzarella, olives, fresh sausage and chili pepper!

    This is one of the oldest coffehouses in Cagliari: traditionally opened by Helvetians in early XXth century, it keeps its ancient allure for every elegant or informal occasions.
    Recently it has been awarded by Gambero Rosso Enogastronomy Magazine and Slow Food for its food and service excellence.

    This is one a place you can't missin Cagliari. Since you sit down until you go you'll be sorrounded by proper tipical cucina sarda. Don't chose! ask them to chose for you!!

    We had read on a newspaper: the cheapest restaurant in Italy awarded with one star by Michelin restaurant's guide. We could not miss it. It's a very modern style restaurant, it has also a front bar just for a quick coffč. You cannot find traditional dishes from Sardinia, everything has been newly studied but it will not disappoint you. Starters and first courses cost 11 euros, second courses cost 16 euros and dessert 7. But you can have 1 starter+1first course+dessert for 23 euro. The service is very careful; I am not so sure anybody can speak English.

    • Not only fish in this nice restaurant just downtown; check also some pasta and meat and you'll not get disappointed.

    Try salsiccia (smoked Sardinian sausage). Prosciutto de cinghiale is ham made from wild boar. Culurgiones is the Sardinian version of ravioli. Zimino is a fish soup.
