I don't understand why people love Porto Cervo. I found this city, totally rebuilt for tourism, nothing special. Sardinia has a lot of marvellous places and are always cheaper than Porto Cervo.
Yes, lot of famous people go here for their holidays... but if you go across the small streets, you'll find just tourists and sellers...
Fun Alternatives: If you are near Porto Cervo and you want to see similar - but real - places, I suggest Porto Rotondo. I also eat very well there... :)
Yep - there it is - and this private island had just been purchased when we were there. A closer look will bring the crane on the left into focus. Near beaches there are also lot of very expensive nightclubs like the Briatore's Billionaire or similar... it's very hard (and not cheap) to enter there... :) expecially if you are not a V.I.P. But I can say that your evenings will be fantastic too even if you have other programs :)more
