I don't understand why people love Porto Cervo. I found this city, totally rebuilt for tourism, nothing special. Sardinia has a lot of marvellous places and are always cheaper than Porto Cervo.
Yes, lot of famous people go here for their holidays... but if you go across the small streets, you'll find just tourists and sellers...

Fun Alternatives: If you are near Porto Cervo and you want to see similar - but real - places, I suggest Porto Rotondo. I also eat very well there... :)

  • La Maddalena

I suggest to make the visit of the archipelago of Maddalena... it is the opportunity to see a lot of marvellous beaches (someone is closed to the people because this is a protected National Park) and great landscape for your pics!

  • Costa Smeralda - Stones

Not all the passages between one beach to another one are so easy... expecially if you have just a pair of water shoes :)

  • Costa Smeralda - Cala Liscia Ruja

One of the most beautiful beaches and also it's very easy to meet famous people of jetset here... I personally saw Naomi Campbell and Anna Falchi.

  • Costa Smeralda - The sea

Near beaches there are also lot of very expensive nightclubs like the Briatore's Billionaire or similar... it's very hard (and not cheap) to enter there... :) expecially if you are not a V.I.P. But I can say that your evenings will be fantastic too even if you have other programs :)
