Osteria da Lio: Sailor bar in La Maddalena

This is a friendly sailor's bar. People are really friendly, slightly salty, but pretty cool. The food is good too. Not expensive either. I recommend this place. Just don't stay too too late. You never know when the mood could change. We were 3 women and 1 man and were very welcomed here. We had a nice dinner followed by drinks and conversation with the locals in the bar. Casual, easy going. But guys, not baggy T-shirt and baggy boy shorts down to your calves. Never wear that krap. You look ridiculous in it.

The Lord Nelson Pub: Sinking a few in the marina

The Lord Nelson was the only place we found open (or accessible) in Porto Cervo marina at night. (The others either being shut for the season or exclusive members only eg the yacht club). This bar is basically an English pub, complete with a darts board and an authentic "stale beer in carpet" smell. However it is run by and catered for anyone but the English. English drinkers in the UK have long preferred the Meditterean style bar culture (how ironic), or the infinitly more evolved form of the british boozer such as Weatherspoons. You've got to chuckle when you see a load of European millionaires lovin' life in a pub that (internally at least) looks like its come straight out of an inner city UK council estate in the early 1980's.Unfortunately, in late September, when the season is over, this is probably the best drinking den around the marina. Expect the place to be empty until about...

Good if your a girl

The night life is very good in Porto Cervo, Sardegna, their is the famous nightclub, called billion club, but the chances of getting in are very difficult unless your dads a millionaire and owns a boat on the harbour, guessed have included Paris Hilton, P Diddy, and loads of soccer player and F1 Racing Drivers, but most of the clubs are filled with men, which is good if your a girl but bad if your a man out to meet some one, and also you have to have a girl with you when you enter the club. The dress code is smart, jeans are ok but they have to be smart jeans not old ones.

in La Maddalena there is not much to do , except to have a walk around, enjoying an icecream or a granita. It is still very pleasant (also because we were always exhausted at the end of the day!)

When a night is over, don't be afraid the next will be better.....Whenever you see people that are 25-40 years old that's my place i can be everywhere....
