Tavola Azzurra: Most popular in Cannigione

by iammon

Gastronomia-RosticceriaSeems to be very popular. We were really lucky to get a table without reservation and people queue worse than in the US to get a table.Food was great and cheap! Very tasty appetizers then lots of seafood and fish. The Sardinian gnoghettis.

Chili Peppers: Mexican food in Sardinia

by toemayn

Authentic Tex-Mex in Italy!? The owner is retired from the US navy. The place difinitely has the feel of a Mexican Cantina. It's a nice break from Italian food, since we were there for a month. Want mexican beer you got it here! Good food great atmosphere. Fried chicken tenders. A hard to get item in Italy. The beef burrito was very good also.

Albergo Pensione Pinna: Restaurant with a view

by iandsmith

We had no recommendations, simply pulled up and this place was open which, when we were there, was a big plus. The fact that there was a lovely view made me more enthusiastic. We had the place to ourselves and the walls were decorated with basketry and art of a local nature that lent a nice ambience to the place. The lady who ran the place was lovely and, bolstered I guess by the fact that we were the only ones there, we got good service. The food was good for the early courses, particularly the soup, and we were thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Our hostess then suggested sardas for dessert, a Sardinian specialty. Frankly, I couldn't get excited about it but was glad I tried it because I then had boasting rights.Would have no problem going there again to eat.

Osteria da Lio: Sailor's Bar - Very Friendly Great Food

by anacapa

Great low-key spot. Dinner was quite good. The energy at the bar was high. We met the guy who runs the lighthouses on the island, along w/ friends who all were sailors/fishermen. Of course we met the men...being mostly women. Very friendly, just don't stay too late gals.

Chili Pepper's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina: Getting better with age

by Fred02128

Our first visit to Chili Pepper's in Palau Sardegna (Itlay) was in the summer of 2001. When we visited again in 2004 we noticed a huge improvement in the quality of the food as it became more like what we experience in Mexican restaurants here in the US. In our 2 week visit in 2004 we ate here at least 3 times! We'll be visiting again this summer and expect even greater improvements in what we found to be a wonderful Mexican restaurant. Taco's and Berrittos. The sausa was excellent too.

Marlin Ristorante Pizzaria: A must when in Santa Teresa

by anacapa

This is a locals place, at least during the off season. We saw local workers eating here along with intellectual types dressed in Benetton. The food is inspired and delicious. We had a lovely lunch here.

Ristorante Sa Forredda: The best choice possible

by MichaelFalk1969

This nice restaurant on the main street in Muravera had a wide range of Pasta and Pizza dishes and superb quality food at more than fair prices. It was a privilege to eat there - great food and friendly staff.

Da Nico, San Panatelo: Just leave me here

by sourbugger

There is one unmistakable whiff that ensures you have entered a good pizza restaurant in Italy - and that is the comforting embers of a real wood-buring oven. The 'Da Nico' restaurant offered more than just pizzas, but I was quite happy to stick with their superb version of the classic 'Four seasons' pizza.Prices are very good (around 7-8 Euro) for an individual pizza, although other dishes could be quite a bit more (see warnings and dangers tip on Fish).Situated on the main road through this attractive village, it is worth planning to come through this way at a mealtime if you can.

Saloon Steak House: An Italian Steak House

by toemayn

Looks like a steak house/bar in the US. Good steaks and pasta very friendly staff and owner. After eating you get a free shot. The owner must have liked the way a put away the "Jager" because he gave me a ball cap with resturant's logo on it. This was something my son and his navy buddys had never heard of. T bone steak. Very large well prepared.

L'Angolo della Gastronomia da Roby's: great pizza

by toemayn

The best pizzia we ate in Italy. Take out only. Nick Roby has the art of pizza making perfected. Prices are very reasonable. Located just across the street from the ferry landing on La Maddalena Island. The meat lovers pizza.
