The Spa or “Terme” : The waters; which are bottled locally, are claimed to be beneficial for many complaints and the Spa or “Terme” itself offers visitors health and beauty treatments in lovely surroundings at a reasonable cost. Take the turning from Sarnano for Gualdo 200m before Sarnano, the Terme is about 1km on the right.

If you feel like pampering yourself with a massage, a treatment or want more than your crops irrigating, there are 3 local spots. The Terme (see above), Hotel Eden on the hill above and behind Sarnano or at Lago San Ruffino (0736 848099) where treatments are provided by trained therapists from the cooperative.

If you fancy pushing the boat out and eating somewhere very stylish and ultra modern then this comes highly recommended. The food is only a euro or two more expensive per dish but its all mouthwatering, the service is the tops and the delicacies are all served up with a dash of panache. The menu is split between meat and fish (brought fresh from the coast every day).
The antipasti is amazing, the first courses vary from tagliatelle with a hare ragu to Radicchio and Sea Bass Risotto. The meats and Fish and panacottas are also tremendous. It also has a very good wine cellar. Closed Sunday night & Monday

Favorite Dish: Radicchio and Sea Bass Risotto- moist, rounded with lovely bitter raddicchio to cut the flavour of the bass.
