Book store at St. Peter's Basilica: Excellent souvenirs from Vatican City

by hopang

Souvenirs are excellent items to remember the tourist destinations that you have visited. Vatican City has plenty of wonderful souvenirs to take home with you to your country. Our main photograph on the right depicts the stone sculpture we purchased from a souvenir shop outside St. Peter's Basilica. There are plenty of these souvenir shops near the Basilica. Our second photograph (our hidden photograph) depicts the brilliant and shining refrigerator magnet purchased from the book store/souvenir shop at St. Peter's Basilica. The souvenir shop is located on the ground floor near the main entrance to St. Peter's Basilica. Lovely and shining refrigerator magnet from St. Peter's Basilica. At 4.00 euros per piece.

Porta Siena Shopping Centre, Siena: One stop shopping

by hopang

Porta Siena Shopping Centre is located opposite the main train station and a bus interchange in Siena, approximately two kilometers from the historic centre of Siena. It is a one stop shopping centre under one roof patronised mostly by the locals. The shopping centre is undoubtedly one of the largest and one of the most beautiful in the city of Siena. It is one of the latest additions of growing numbers of shopping centres in this historical city! Many of the shops in the shopping centre deal in household goods, clothings, toys, stationery, textiles, shoes etc. If you stay in the city of Siena for several days or for a longer period, you will probably end up in this shopping centre several times! Clothings and textiles can be recommended. Prices of clothings seems to be cheaper than those of the historic centre in Siena.

Tabaccheria, Old Town, Chianciano Terme: Local tobacco store

by hopang

Tabaccheria is a local tobacco store dealing in mainly small items such as cigarettes, tobacco products, souvenirs, postcards, stamps, lotto and lottery tickets, stationeries, snacks and drinks etc. There are several Tabaccheria stores in Chianciano Terme. It is actually a chain of stores established throughout the country. You can also purchase local bus tickets from the store. The store as depicted in our photograph above is located in the Old Town between the Old Town Gate and the Clock Tower at via Casini. It is the only Tabaccheria store in the Old Town. Stamps for your postcards to be sent out of Italy, local bus tickets and of course cigarettes if you smoke.. Prices of products are expected to be slightly cheaper than those of the larger supermarket except of course for the stamps and the local bus tickets where the prices are fixed.

Autogrill Convenient Store: A convenient store along highway E33 near Parma

by hopang

Autogrill is a chain of convenient stores established along the highway in Italy for the convenience of the motorists. They are usually set up at the service stations. It is wise to purchase your products from Autogrill as the prices generally are much cheaper than those outlets in large cities such as Pisa, Parma and Verona. Wide range of items are on sale such as confectionery, bakery, Italian wines, cookies, biscuits, chocolates, bottled drinks, fruits, canned food, toys, souvenirs and even clothings. They also have a counter serving hot drinks and light meals. Italian wines and Italian biscuits are highly recommended. Prices are much cheaper than those of the outlets in large cities as we have discovered.

Supermercati Pellicano, Casalmaggiore: Economy supermarket

by hopang

This is an amazing supermarket with lots of things sold at a bargain! We are not sure whether the realisation sale is going on from time to time or whether it is a rare occasion? Food and drinks including liquor and wines are on sale perhaps indefinitely. Cheaper than in other outlets in most parts of Italy.
