A few kilometers north of Marsala is the Stagnone Lagoon, a natural reserve of low sea water, bordered by the four islands of Mozia, Isola Grande, Schola and Santa Maria.
Here are located are the famous Saline - salt evaporation ponds.
The windmills, the water tanks delimited by tuff blocks, the white mountains of salt compose a picturesque scenario. Make your visit at sunset, when the colors create reflections of extraordinary beauty.
