What to buy: Messina is a town where people like to dress well. In the city centre, particularly shops around Piazza Cairoli and the avenue ``il corso`` you can find a lot of shops for clothes and shoes in particular, as well as 2 general commercial places and other beauty and jewelry shops. There are even more shops along the paths of the avenue and unless Saturday when all people reverse along the avenue, everyday is a pleasure and fun to buy around.
There are also other relative cheap area where to go shopping, like via Palermo or via Garibaldi or via Cavour, but prices and quality are pretty the same everywhere.
