    Falcone e Borsellino Airport

    by Oleg_D. Written Jul 2, 2015

Palermo airport known as Falcone e Borsellino Airport is situated in at Punta Raisi, thirty four kilometers from city of Palermo. The most convenient way to get the center is to take a taxi. Usually taxi price for the trip from airport to historical center of Palermo (Quatro Canti) is 45 Euros. During the day time, traffic in the center of Palermo is very dense, so take it to consideration when planning your trip. If you don’t want to take a taxi then you can travel by special train or bus. Airport is situated at the seashore, so prepare your photo camera during take off and landing. Airport is not big but very comfortable with all necessary facilities and has enough souvenir, wine and delicates shops. Speaking honestly I like this airport. We arrive here by airplane of Alitalia Company from Rome. Duration of our flight was fifty five minutes.

    Airport to Central Station

by Paisleypaul Updated Apr 4, 2011

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Metropolitana runs from Stazione Centrale to Punta Raisi, stoppoing right at Falcone Borsellino Airport. It cost Eu4.50 one way, both station and airport are the end of the line. Note - although this is an underground it leaves at street level from the central station. normally the highest numbered platform on the far right.

A taxi cost us EU45 from the airport, on our taxi to the station we were offered a ride all the way to the airport for EU40.

We had Volareweb airlines... I reckon they used the crisis on airplanes in a good way and entered the market.. We had a nice flight with this new Italian company. We had the airplane from Marco Polo Airport, Venice to Falcone Borsellino, Punto Raisi and the flight lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes.

    Our big blue bird... 8)
