The Metropolitana runs from Stazione Centrale to Punta Raisi, stoppoing right at Falcone Borsellino Airport. It cost Eu4.50 one way, both station and airport are the end of the line. Note - although this is an underground it leaves at street level from the central station. normally the highest numbered platform on the far right.
A taxi cost us EU45 from the airport, on our taxi to the station we were offered a ride all the way to the airport for EU40.

We had Volareweb airlines... I reckon they used the crisis on airplanes in a good way and entered the market.. We had a nice flight with this new Italian company. We had the airplane from Marco Polo Airport, Venice to Falcone Borsellino, Punto Raisi and the flight lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes.
