Gelateria selling special flavoured gelati - ask for a little taste, un assaggio, before making a final choice.
Gocce verdi (olive oil)
Cioccolato al Pepperoncino
Riccotta, Fantasia di Limone, Mela Verde, Mela Cotogna, Mango, Pera, Nocciola, Fragola, Fantasia di Limone, Cioccolato, Mango, Limone and last but not least Lacrime Dolci which is onion!
Favorite Dish: In my little tub I chose liquirizia and cannella (liquorice and cinnamon).
I wanted all the flavours and settled for these this time.
The gelataio suggested a fruit flavour to complement the wine flavour, therefore,
my husband chose cerasuolo and mango (wine and mango) which was said to be delicious.
A novelty to Ragusa this is the first tex-mex restaurant to open in Ragusa.
It is located in the Ipercoop Shopping Center a few kilometers off the town itself, and serves tex-mex food in the evenings only, while at lunch it is open as a self service restaurant serving traditional italian food (and nothing special really about this its like a school canteen no elaborate or special dishes).
Also serves pizza both at lunch and at night, made the traditional way.
Also offers take away and home delivery as said in the evenings only.
Also hosts karaoke nights, shows and Sky TV expecially during major sport events.
Talking about tex-mex, I find it a bit expensive.
Favorite Dish: The pizza is very good, I also find the tex-mex dishes to be very good, I have not finished trying all the dishes on the menu yet.
I have not had anything from the self-service lunch yet.
This restaurant is in a nice location, in the main square of Ragusa Ibla. The interior is also nice.
We ad to wait long before getting a cheese plate (that was good) while the pasta wasn't really the best I've ever had
A classy but not intimidating restaurant set in an old renovated farm estate located at the skirts of the town, serves excellent italian food, mixing the traditional sicilian and italian flavours with the great creativity of the chef that is able to create excellent dishes.
This is the first mexican restaurant to open in Ragusa, or to be precise Marina di Ragusa, the seaside couterpart of Ragusa where almost all of the population of the town moves during summer.
Despite being in a summer town, almost deserted during winter months, this restaurant is always open as far as I know.
I've been there only once, but had a great night.
Great food and live music nights.
Very crowded, booking recommended.
Favorite Dish: The mexican paella was really good.
Il Giro di Vite was born as a wine bar, offering a very good selection of wines and also beers.
Also serves very good food that differs from the traditional italian food letting you try new tastes.
The ambient is modern and is made up of a few small rooms and a large inside patio.
Recommended for a different evening.
This is the only chinese (or for that matter asian) restaurant in Ragusa.
It is family run by very welcoming and nice chinese family that settled here.
The menu is a traditional chinese menu, there are no elaborate dishes apart from the famous "Anatra Laccata" (anyone wants to translate in english?) that is served by booking it at least one day before your mean and for 4 persons, and includes a full menu.
Special and Economy menus also available.
The place is small and there is no view expecially in the most recessed room, and can get quite hot expecially in the summer though air condition is available.
The decor is nice and in traditional chinese style, though the whole place could use some renovation.
Always quiet and never too crowded, except on saturdays.
I highly recommed it, despite the looks could put you off, the food is really good and the owners really friendly.
Favorite Dish: Anatra Laccata
