This was our worst food experience during our Sicily trip.
The restaurant has a nice location, in the heart of San Vito, in the pedestrian zone, with tables outside under a porch.
The waiters are efficient and polite. The problem is the food: before entering we asked the waiter if they had tuna and he answered yes, but what was served to us wasn't tuna at all, and - more - was overcooked and tasteless.
When I regretted with one waiter, he answered that those small, whitish part of a fish in my dish was actually a piece of tuna. Well, at least I know tuna meat is red. Finally, the so called tuna was also expensive!
There are many other restaurants in San Vito, you can easily avoid this.

This is a small, cosy restaurant in the pedestrian zone of San Vito Lo Capo, with few tables outside, under a porch. The owners, a mature couple, share the work around the table and serve good cous cous (a speciality of this area, unique in Italy) and fish.

Sarde a beccafico
Despite the pleasant setting of the restaurant the place is a complete rip off. High prices and very poor food. 13 Euros for a a 'mixed fish grill' which consisted of a piece of swordfish and two prawns! 63 Euros for a two course meal for two with a half bottle of wine - higher than London prices in a Sicilian village! The service was poor and a number of local 'specialities' were off the menu. The sweet was not homemade but poor quality bought in. And to top it off there was a 'shrine' to Mussolini and fascism behind the cash desk. AVOID.
in san vito there is a restaurant for each habitant....so plenty of places where get your tommy full!!
