    Main stadium, Chianciano Terme
    by hopang, 2 more photos
This is the main stadium in the spa resort city of Chianciano Terme and is principally used for local football matches between towns and villages in Tuscany region. It is the only outdoor stadium in Chianciano Terme. The stadium has a covered grandstand which has a seating capacity for approximately two thousand spectators. It is floodlighted and can be used in the evening and at night.

The stadium has also been used for other local sporting events such as the athletic meet, public gathering and public functions occasionally. Take the opportunity to watch some good local football matches especially during the weekends when you are having your vacation in Chianciano Terme!

"If you were in France right now there'd be 20 minute queues." Thus spoke my new-found friend with a heavy north England accent.
The strange thing was he was a native from just 20 kms away from where we were skiing, deep in the Dolomites!
Where we were, Lagazuoi, was the front line during the First World War and would be a worthy stop if you were just a history buff but today we were there to ski and, in the whole area, there were probably around fifty skiers. Every time I got on a chair or T-bar I was alone. The only exception was the cable car from Passo Falzarego where you had to wait 2-10 minutes because there weren't enough passengers. This is where I met the English family.
I had a great time skiing here (and falling down occasionally) and, like elsewhere in the Dolomites, am amazed that the general tourist populace seem to avoid the area. Perhaps because there are limited public transport options, perhaps because people don't like switchback roads. For whatever reason. Me, I've put it on my "must go back to" list.

I hired from Break Out in La Villa who were efficient and helpful.

    Another awesome game....
But this time I was not as lucky as Milano , I was alone but got my ticket when the game had just started cheaper then it was sold .
It was the craziest game I have ever been to , I was in the middle of Roma fans , and when Roma soccered a goal, I found myself on the ground lying and somebody busted on lip which was bleeding..Some Crazy Italians, helped me and for excuse they gave me a flag of Roma as a present..I was praying For Roma not to soccer another goal..no just kidding...I loved it alot..

    Eh thanks Dannie!

Dannie was naughty enough to take pictures and laughing at me while I was fighting that sandbag, actually the fact that I was faster in my movements than Dannie's fingers to catch the movement in the right moment, has gave a results of some funny not correct pictures here LOL

Hiking is the best sport you'll be obliged to do once you're in Venice, as I said before the whole city is a beaten path, so you will have to walk and walk, but this is really nice, no other way is better than this, meanwhile you're doing sport!

The weather is just unbelievable here. For me it was 100 % of sunny days.
I went there with my best friend, so... here we are having fun in the best skiing region I've ever been to.
To see more about skiing in Dolomites check out my Bolzano page.

    Don't forget your skis.

  • Whatever the results are for teams on the international stage (they have not been excellent of late), soccer still remains the most popular sport in the country. And the soccer matches are a great show!
The country's strongest teams are: Juventus, Roma, Milan, Inter, Lazio. Last year's surprise was Chievo.
