Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Waterproofs and walking boots with good non slip soles eg Vibram.

Miscellaneous: We found two books gave good detailed instructions for walks in the area. Both are by Gillian Price and printed by Cicerone press. Walking in the Dolomites and Walking in the Central Italian Alps. About £11 each.
Good maps showing contours and giving a good idea of how steep your walks are likely to be are the Tabacco maps, 1:50,000.
