for 23 euro, the card offers free access to up to 80 museums and sights around the region (including the museum of archeology. However, to make this worthwhile you would probably have to stay in the region at least for a week. The tourist office website also does not advise that there are other discount cards that offer discounts for entry into the museums at a substantial savings over the Bolzano Visitor Card.

When taking a stroll along the Talvera river, we found this strange sign - to me it looked like a dolphin or something like that.... We then had a closer look and the warning is about sudden flood waves that can occur here - well, I guess with all that snowmelt it is quite reasonable, but also because of manoevers on hydraulic plants!
So, do watch out!!!

If you drive to Bozen you have to know that even if you park in a polite manner you're in a no-parking area !!! This is not a joke: you have to be granted on parking around the city by the hotel where you stay (well, if you stay in a hotel); they usually ask you for a bail and they give you a sort of a 'green card' to be shown on your car during the park time.
The only alternative you have is to search for underground parking (many of them can be found).

The Restaurants close very early in the evenings. If you leave it until about 9.00 you may find that all you can get to eat is Pizza.
