While driving from Cortina d'Ampezzo heading Dobbiaco, in the Valle d'Ampezzo valley, around the kilometer 128, is located the Monte Piana 2 cemetery.

While passing you might even just pass by without seeying it, if not for some advertising.
Located in the middle of the valley, surrounded by impressive mountains and forest, this cemetery host the bodies of 1259 soldiers of various nationalities.

So if you are passing there, stop, and leave some prayers for those soldiers who have lost their life during the 1st World War.
Take your time and walk between the black cross, thinking in silent and saying some prayers.

Additional route info: On the road between Misurina and Dobbiaco.
