    On the snow: skiing!

by ludogatto Written Mar 5, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Padola possesses a modern 4 chairlift that it allows to ski on 5 tracks of average and high difficulty, two skilift for the beginners. On these tracks the amusement is assured, the tracks are variegate and well designed, the artificial snow allows to have a perfect snowy mantle. An aspect not to underrate is economic aspect, skipass coast 25 euro per day and often they include an income to the terme of Padola. The public affluence is rather low because many people prefers to go in more famous centers, but much more crowded.
There are 6 cross country ski rings in the area for more that 45 km...this is the land of the much strong italian cros county skiers...that win som medals int the last winter olympic games in Turin!

    Some activities in Padola

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Padola is know for downhill ski and the cross-country ski but there are several alternative activities: in Valgrande, an instructor can help you try the walks by sledges dragged by dogs (sleddog), in Comelico it is possible to practise ski touring accompanied by Val Comelico CAI couriers, or free climbing in the icefalls. You can walk 'on the snow' wearing the “ciaspe” ( like raquets).
