Lago di Bràies Travel Guide

It doesn't take much to enjoy this place and admire its beauty. Just find some comfortable place on the grass, lie there, relax and unwind. It was such a serene feeling to just lie there enjoying the beauty and the peaceful sourroundings

Next to the lake there is this Restaurant. It's called Hotel Lago di Braise. It's a self service and it was packed. It serves fast foods and specialities of the day but tourists usually go for a snack or atleast when I was there everyone seemed to be nibbling on hot dogs, french fries, pastries and bread though some where having pasta and some other hot dishes too. The food and the service were only satisfactory for there wasn't such a large choice of restaurants and the place was packed that I was so lucky to have found a seat. Nicest thing about this place is that you can see the lake and if you don't find a place where to sit just grab your food on go on one of the benches at the lake.

Favorite Dish: The food was nothing out of this world just satisfactory if you happen to be very hungry, considering this is on the Italian border!
I had a baquet and french fries others said the pasta was really good though.

This shop is laoded with souvenirs, books, postcards and photos of this lake and its sourroundings.

What to buy: If you would like some beautiful pictures or some information about this place, then do buy something from this souvenir shop, for even on the internet there is very little information about this place.

Favorite thing: My fondest memory of Lago di Braies was the peaceful & serene atmosphere and the natural beauty of the place. I highly suggest anyone who would be travelling from Austria to Italy or visiting the Dolomites to visit Lago di Braies
