Restaurant La Roi: Le Roi
Fast service and good food. We ate here about 3pm. The place was busy and was full whilst we were there but waiting time was not too plong as people were in and out fairly quickly. service was excellent with great staff on hand to help out. There is the 4 course Itilian menu from which I chose one pasta course @ €8.50 along with some bread. Most peopel at this time were having this and/or pizza. Good pasta and meat sauce which would have been a great choice had I not spotted the Goulash served on the next table later - that is what I'd go back for.
Favorite Dish: Yet to be tried the Goulash
Ristorante Alfiero: Ristorante Alfiero top dollar - (or euro)
Classical restaurant with outstanding service and quality food. We had a wonderful dinner here. We had booked for 19:30 and were suprised to see the restaurant virtually empty but by 8pm all of the tables were taken, just glad we booked in advance. I went for the four course a la carte option of sea food starter, pasta, venison and dessert. Certainly recommedned for the classical style dining experience - cost was €90 for 2 x 4 courses including 2 glasses of wine, a special occasion for us and a great night.
antico focolare: good all round local restaurant
This is a pretty good, inexpensive(by Madonna standards)place to eat. There is an extensive menu offering regional dishes along with a large selection of pizzas. Great wines at reasonable prices - several from the local vineyards.
refugio zeledria: cook it yourself
this little gem is packed to the gunnels almost every night during the winter ski season.
A short taxi ride from the centre of town takes you to the snow line, where you are transferred into a half track and literally driven up the mountain. After dinner you're taken back to join your taxi. This is a mountain restaurant in the true sense o the word.
The house speciality is raw slivers of various meats which you cook at your table on hot stones, provided by the waiters. Great fun
Favorite Dish: I had the coniglie cacciatore(wild rabbit), with herb polenta. The dish just melts in your mouth.
