"our" alimentari and bakery by tini58de Down the road from the Vöstlhof right next to the Parish Church is a small "alimentari" food shop where it seems that most of the locals do their food shopping! This is where we usually went to get our everyday groceries. This is very convenient, since it is only a few 100 m from the apartment, but still, you have to go uphill with all your goodies, so don't underestimate it! A stone's throw away from this alimentari is a bakery with delicious bread and bread rolls (that you pay for by weight and not by piece....!). Across the street from the tourist office is another food shop, so in case you don't find things in the one place, try out the other store. A few houses away from the tourist office is a butcher, who has the most delicious meat, ham and knödel - and at extremely reasonable prices. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Zischglweg

Since I was traveling with my husband, of course we had to look for fleamarkets - and sure enough did we find two!!! On the way to Welschnofen we happened to pass by an open air antique market, which was interesting, but to high scale for us. But the scenery and the items made it a wonderful and unexpected experience. Then we were lucky to have a night fleamarket there in Welschnofen right that week when we were there - and we sure did enjoy looking at all the goods put up for sale there. It was a small, but interesting fleamarket.
As everywhere at a fleamarket - try to bargain, that's what it is all about! Leave a Comment Theme: Antiques

pretty to look but expensive to buy by richiecdisc This decidedly upscale row of elegant, traditional and modern shops is one of the city's most visited streets and certainly its best known shopping area. It's a fun place to walk through but the prices are enough to make your head spin.
They have most anything you could possibly want.
Whether you can afford it is another question....lol Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: Starting on the Western side of Piazza Municipio, just off the Piazza Walther.

Hand-carved items in a shop window by sierralyndon The Alto-Adige area is well-known for its artisan woodcraft. Everywhere you go, you will find intricately hand-carved wooden items. You can find shops on the main streets of towns or even on small roads way out of town areas. Leave a Comment Theme: Local Craft
