On the opposite side of town the hot, thermal water, is channeled down the hill to a series of baths and pools. At the end of this long path there are baths that can be enjoyed by all.

People who know me relatively well know that I have a thing for cats. So, during our visit at Bagno Vignoni RhineRoll pointed out this cat to me.
It was wandering around the street for a while then got lost and after a while it popped up on the roof that you see on the picture. Firstly, it deliberately ignored the pigeons around and start digging something on the roof, who knows what :))) Then it finally took a
look at the birds but didnt act as a typical cat, didnt get into hunting position right away. It seems that the typical Bagno Vignoni cat gives a deep thought before doing that, at least this one spend about several minutes standing in this position before things went to normal and it decided that it is time for hunting :) I could have watched for a longer time but I assumed that RhineRoll would be bored to death by watching me watching the cat, so I stopped myself at a certain time.
If you really like cats as much as I do and since Bagno Vignoni seems a very quiet place you might consider that entertaining option for yourself :)))

There are a few nice restaurants in Bagno Vignoni where you can taste typical Siena food, typical cheese (pecorino) with marmelades and honeys, and great Meat (Chianina)
Favorite Dish: You cant miss Spiedini di Cinta Senese (which is a particular pig which is all black and with a white belt around its neck or hips), or Chianina steck (Chianina is a typical cow with very tender meat). You can also taste Pecorino di fossa (which is a sheep cheese that you can taste with honey, or marmelades and jams of any kind: strauberry, peaches, oranges)

As you can see from the picture sitting outside of the bar can be quite enjoyable in a sunny day, especially when we add up the view of the pool right next to you.
The lady in the bar didnt speak English that good but she was very helpful and we managed to communicate well enough for me to get the ice cream and the soft drinks that I wanted.
The price was reasonable and the ice cream taste was fabulous, so I would warmly recommend this place to you :)
Favorite Dish: Well, I had an ice cream there and it worth it :) They have many different flavours. When you order you should specify whether you want a small or a big bowl and then say how many flavours do you want to have in it.

There are not many things to do... just relax, walk in Bagno Vignone, watch the stars in teh sky and hear the sound of spring and relax

Favorite thing: One of the spots of the medieval terme in Bagno Vignoni. The water comes through the channels, and forms these baths. They continue downhill and they are all connected.

Favorite thing: In the center of the "town" there is a huge pool with thermal waters, instead of the main square! And all the buildings are set around it.
