it's a very very nice restaurant directly on a beach, open all seasons. it's great to have dinner outside during summer and look at the sea and the sky..
They mainly cook fresh fish, (you can choose your own fresh fish before it's being cooked)
they also have good vegetarian courses

  • La Baragghina: Skip the attitude

    by depmode85 Written Jul 1, 2006

A spectacular location on the water makes La Baragghina a popular choice. The food is no better or no worse (but more expensive) than other Castiglioncello restaurants. Eat here only if you can stomach their snooty attitudes, which all the waitstaff seemed to share. They act as if you are privileged to dine here, not that they welcome your patronage. Skip the attitude and eat somewhere else in Castiglioncello!

    Jacaré: Always fishes to eat

In this reastaurant is possible to have lunch or dinner in front of the beach, especially in summer the atmosphere is great! Is located close to Castiglioncello center, full of tourism! You have to book some day before the day when you want to go there becuase is always hard to find a place!!!

Favorite Dish: In this restaurant u can choose to eat pizza (many different kind) or typical food made with fish and seafruits. I don't have a special dish, everything is ok:))

    ..could be better...

by boardman Updated Nov 11, 2002

there is no one particoular restourant in the neighbourhood.....if you want somethin' really fine you have to move a little bit outside the town...maybe to Marina di Cecina (la terrazza,scacciapensieri,...ecc.ecc..) or to the country like Bolgheri (l'acquolina in bocca) the way there are a lot of restaurants in Castiglioncello that could satisfy you if you are lookin' for somethin' not so particoular...
...durin' the summer there's anyway one of the finest bun and crepes bar of the's called Mambo and is situated in the main walkable street of Castiglioncello....great for a snack after the sea!..
